North Kildare Hockey Club - Junior Teams



Junior Structure

At North Kildare we place a huge emphasis on the development of our younger players. From junior infants to under 16's, we ensure that each player is given the time and support to develop to their full potential. At North Kildare we aim to create a fun, safe, positive environment in which our young players can learn the values of team sport. We aim to help young players to develop respect for the sport, all participants, their teammates, officials and coaches. We aim to provide a top class coaching experience in a playing environment that we believe is one of the best in Leinster.

We have over 15 coaches in our Junior section and each team has a dedicated lead coach who will remain with them throughout the season. All of our lead coaches have completed the Code of Ethics Course and have complied with the Garda vetting process. North Kildare works closely with the IHA and other sporting bodies to ensure that best practice if followed in the management of junior hockey at the club. In applying the guidelines of the Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Children’s Sport, North Kildate have developed a club code of conduct and appointed a designed childrens officer and a designated person.
